The Stars – Unforgotten Love

The Stars
Unforgotten Love

The days went by,
I kept waiting for long;
The nights, dark yet sleepless,
My poem contained words, but devoid of any song.

I longed for thy touch,
I yearned for thy voice,
How could someone be bereft of love,
That he robbed me of all the joys?

I watched the stars with wet eyes
A pain, kept slashing my heart;
Remembering those nights when we watched the stars, together,
Lachrymose, I watched the starry night depart.
